I use innovation to remove barriers.
About Me 😊
Hi, I'm Zixuan (Peter) Fu, a senior at Issaquah High School who’s passionate about doing social work and using technology to protect our environment. I hope to become a social entrepreneur and create environmental solutions through AI and engineering can address challenges in climate resilience and community development.
Outside of academics, I love playing soccer, playing guitar, cooking, and volunteering in my community.
My Favorite Hobbies

Social Entrepreneurship
I started these initiatives because I wanted to use technology and innovation to support communities facing environmental and social challenges.
Vision of Grove
Overview -> Removing Financial/Opportunity Barriers
Vision of Grove is an environmental tech start up that helps local governments and relief organizations in the Sundarbans track mangrove loss and assess community vulnerability using Sentinel-2 satellite imagery. It identifies who is most at risk after cyclones by integrating FAO Forest Proximate People (FPP) data.
Impact
900+ mangroves restored, 11K+ in funding raised, and partnerships built with environmental nonprofits like Ecoresolve and Friendship.

Yakama Empowerment Project
Overview -> Removing Resource/Emotional Barriers
The Yakama Empowerment Project is a educational initiative that brings books and learning resources to underserved Indigenous communities in Washington.
Impact
Partnered with the Gates Foundation and 9+ local schools, involving 1000+ students, to deliver over 5,000+ books to the Yakama Nation. Volunteered to repaint and remodel housing and create jewelry necklaces for communities
Past Events

Seattle Youth Music Festival
Overview -> Removing Resource/Emotional Barriers
Seattle Youth Music Festival focus on helping immigrant elders adapt to new environments through intergenerational music events to create a space where seniors feel a sense of belonging and young musicians grow in confidence as they share their talent.
Impact
Hosted 50+ young performers, reached an audience of 100+ attendees preforming Kin On Senior Home and several others by hosting bilingual concerts.

Published Paper - JRHS
Published January 2026 · Volume 2026(1), pp. 40–46
DNN-Based Intelligent Key Recovery Attack with Differential Cryptanalysis on DES.
This paper leverages deep neural networks integrated with differential cryptanalysis to perform key recovery attacks on the Data Encryption Standard (DES). The proposed DNN-based distinguisher achieved up to 96.80% training accuracy, outperforming classical statistical methods while demonstrating the current limits of key recovery on higher reduced-round DES. This work contributes to understanding the security boundaries of legacy encryption systems, helping inform the design of stronger cryptographic standards that better protect modern digital infrastructure and user privacy.
